Dear brothers and sisters,

Your bargaining committee met with the company today to further discuss the member’s demands. The company heard stories from our members of our economic struggles resulting from their greed. While we struggle to afford a cup of coffee for the energy to work overtime, BMW executives are working in Las Vegas attending private parties with celebrities. We continue to make progress on non-economic issues, but the company has yet to make a realistic economic proposal that addresses the END of Wage Tiers. We reminded the company that our members will not accept anything that does not include:

We continue to see tremendous support from the UAW, Local 677, Region 9, and your international president Shawn Fain’s office.

We continue to remind the company they’ve made 50 billion over the last 3 years, and shareholders saw 7.2 billion in distributions.

Since our previous contract in 2021, inflation has gone up 14.5%. UAW General wage increase (GWI) went up 3%, but our buying power has reduced by 11.5%.

We continue the fight to reverse years of concessions and return wages to 2009 levels.

Today we had a wonderful rally, with a lot of support from you the membership, the community, and politicians such as State Senator Bob Casey’s Aide, and Candidate Stefanie Rafes for Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 187.

We will return to the bargaining table next week on June 18th, 19th, and 20th.

Su comité de negociación se reunió hoy con la empresa para discutir más a fondo las demandas de los miembros. La compañía escuchó historias de nuestros miembros sobre nuestras luchas económicas resultantes de su codicia. Mientras luchamos por permitirnos una taza de café para tener energía para trabajar horas extras, los ejecutivos de BMW trabajan en Las Vegas asistiendo a fiestas privadas con celebridades. Seguimos avanzando en cuestiones no económicas, pero la empresa aún tiene que hacer una propuesta económica realista que aborde el FINAL de los niveles salariales. Le recordamos a la empresa que nuestros miembros no aceptarán nada que no incluya:

Seguimos viendo un tremendo apoyo de la UAW, el Local 677, Región 9 y la oficina de su presidente internacional, Shawn Fain.

Seguimos recordándole a la empresa que han ganado 50 mil millones en los últimos 3 años y que los accionistas vieron 7,2 mil millones en distribuciones.

Desde nuestro contrato anterior en 2021, la inflación ha aumentado un 14,5%. El aumento salarial general (GWI) de la UAW aumentó un 3%, pero nuestro poder adquisitivo se redujo un 11,5%.

Continuamos la lucha para revertir años de concesiones y devolver los salarios a los niveles de 2009.

Hoy tuvimos una manifestación maravillosa, con mucho apoyo de parte de ustedes, los miembros, la comunidad y políticos como el asistente del senador estatal Bob Casey y la candidata Stefanie Rafes para la Cámara de Representantes de Pensilvania, Distrito 187.
