2026 Special Election – Region 9

The resignation of Daniel Vicente as Regional Director created a vacancy on the UAW  International Executive Board as of November 4, 2025. Therefore, pursuant to the UAW Constitution, it is necessary to conduct a Special Convention to elect a Regional Director. 

In accordance with the provisions of Article 10, Section 18 of the UAW Constitution (July 2022), the UAW International Executive Board calls a Region 9 Special Convention for the purpose of conducting an election for Regional Director. 

Delegates at a special regional convention elected Jimmy Lakeman to serve as the next Regional Director of UAW Region 9.
