CBTU, an affiliate organization of the AFL-CIO, works within the framework of the trade union movement to provide a voice for greater black and minority participation and to improve economic opportunities for black workers. The Coalition of Labor Union Women is America’s only national organization for union women. Formed in 1974, CLUW is a nonpartisan organization within the union movement.
