Region 1A MLK Day of Service
Next Monday, radio host Mildred Gaddis and Region 1A Director Rory L. Gamble will host their annual sleeping bag drive to help homeless members of the community. They’re accepting donations of sleeping bags, socks, blankets, and other cold weather items. They’re also looking for volunteers to help distribute the items.

Detroit – As a day of service on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, UAW Region 1A Director Gamble and members from the region will take it to the streets and to the area’s homeless population. Many homeless Detroiters won’t go to shelters so deliveries will be made directly to the people where they live.
