How to Engage in Your Union Meetings
This is a great publication for those who have recently joined our union, or who are new to being an activist. It covers basic procedural rules of member engagement during union meetings, including our UAW Constitution’s requirements and overview of Robert’s Rules of Order and parliamentary procedures.
UAW Constitution

First UAW-GM Agreement
This one-page agreement represents the efforts of the members and the success of their sit-down strikes. Many rounds of bargaining have taken place since this first agreement which built and grew it into what it is today. It never would have been possible without getting the company to first recognize our union in this contract and agree to negotiate.

New Member Kit

The UAW’s New Member Kit contains multiple publications and materials designed specifically for new members. This welcome kit gives an overview of our union’s history and structure, instructions on how to engage in union meetings, information on our rights as a union member, the importance of our political action program (CAP), as well as opportunities to become an activist in our union through standing committees.
