Metro lines are color-coded, and named for the station at the end of the route.

The Marriot Wardman Park Hotel is at the Woodley Park­Zoo station on the Red Line. From the Capital, it’s the Red Line-Shady Grove.

Hotel to Woodley Park Metro Station Directions

Exit the Hotel and proceed east towards Connecticut Ave NW and 24th St NW. The Woodley Park Metro Station entrance is at the corner of 24th St NW and Connecticut Ave NW next to an M&T Bank.

Travel to the Senate Office Buildings: Board the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont. Ride the Metro for 6 stops until you reach Union Station. Exit the Metro, and Union Station, and proceed south down either Delaware Ave NE or First St NE towards the Russell, Dirksen, or Hart Senate Office Buildings. You will know you are on the right track if you can see the Capitol when you exit Union Station.

Travel to the House Office Buildings: Board the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont. Ride the Metro for 3 stops until you reach Metro Center. Leave the Red Line and transfer to the Blue/Orange/Silver Lines heading towards either Largo Town Center or New Carrolton Stations. Ride the Metro for 5 stops until you reach the Capitol South Station. Take the escalators up to street level and head north on First St SE to reach C St SE and the Cannon House Office Building. Longworth, Rayburn, and the O’Neil House Office Buildings are west of Cannon along C St.

Please be certain whether you are visiting a U.S. Senator or U.S. Congressperson, because they are on opposite sides of the Capital, their offices are far apart and have different Metro routes.

Entrance to any Congressional Office Building requires passing through metal detectors and having purses, bags, packages, etc. searched. You can bring a coat into a COB, but you must remove it to go through the metal detector.

Russell Senate Office Building: Northeast of the Capitol on a site bounded by Constitution Avenue, First Street, Delaware Avenue, and C Street, N.E.

Dirksen Senate Office Building: Northeast of the Capitol, adjoining the Hart Senate Office Building on a site bounded by Constitution Avenue, Second Street, First Street, and C Street, N.E.

Hart Senate Office Building: Northeast of the Capitol, adjoining the Dirksen Senate Office Building on a site bounded by Constitution Avenue, Second Street, First Street, and C Street, N.E. Cannon House Office Building: Southeast of the Capitol on a site bounded by Independence Avenue, First Street, New Jersey Avenue, and C Street S.E.

Longworth House Office Building: South of the Capitol on a site bounded by Independence Avenue, New Jersey Avenue, South Capitol Street, and C Street, S.E.

Rayburn House Office Building: Southwest of the Capitol on a site bounded by Independence Avenue, South Capitol Street, First Street, and C Street, S.W.

Lunch suggestions: The House and Senate Office Buildings have cafeterias for beverages, snacks or lunch.
