What is Mobile Commons?

One of best way to connect with members to deliver information fast, such bargaining updates, events, or give workplace relevant changes is to use mass text messaging(SMS). The UAW has a tool for this called Mobile Commons that we are making available to UAW Local Unions*.

What is a sync?

If you want to use a form on Action Network to automatically sign members up for text messaging using our mass texting tool, Mobile Commons, the two tools need to connect. An opt-in path web sync on Mobile Commons and a form on Action Network are two components to make this happen. Once they are both created, the sync is ready to set up on our end.

How do I set up a form on Action Network and an Opt-in path web sync on Mobile Commons?

Once you've created an Action Network Form to sign members up for updates from your local union, you may want to have the mobile opt-ins automatically to your Mobile Commons campaign. You're ready for the sync request if you've created the Action Network Form for bargaining updates, and also created a Mobile Commons Opt-in Path (Web sync).
