Updated with Detroit and Quad Cities Labor Day Photos

“Walter Reuther believed it was the labor movement’s responsibility not only to look out for its members but also to use its influence — at the bargaining table with business and in the political realm with government — to make America a more livable society for all, not just for workers on every factory floor but everyone in every community. On this Labor Day we owe it to those workers from all walks of life who took that unpaid day off in 1882 to lift each other up and support each other in the pursuit of a better society.”
