International Youth Day was first coined by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999, and now the 12th day of August serves as an annual celebration of the role of young women and men as essential partners in change, and an opportunity to raise awareness of challenges and problems facing the world’s youth. UAW-Ford Donates $100,000 to Provide Recreational Facility, Mentoring Program for Detroit Youth

New Programs and Renovations unveiled at Chapel Vision Community Development Corporation In honor of National Love Our Children Day, UAW-Ford unveiled its community contributions to Chapel Vision Community Development Center during an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 2. UAW-Ford provided a newly renovated recreational facility, which includes: state-of-the-art simulators for baseball/softball and golf, a half-size basketball court, a fitness area and an arcade. UAW-Ford also announced its Mind & Manners Mentoring and Tutorial Program.
