Honoring our military on Veterans Day

On November 11, people across the country will take a moment to honor our military veterans, who have sacrificed their time — and many their lives — by serving in the United States Armed Forces. In addition to their brave actions, defending our country and others, these men and women are a valuable resource to the entire labor movement. Serving those who have served: UAW-Ford program teaches veterans how to weld

Some are homeless. Others are missing limbs or facing other serious issues as a result of their service in war-torn places such as Afghanistan and Iraq. But all of the participants in the UAW-Ford Veterans Welding Class have the same desire to improve their lives by learning a trade. Vets participating in the program at the UAW-Ford TTC speak with their instructor.
