National UAW-Ford Council Votes on Proposed Tentative Agreement, Sends for Ratification Vote

Detroit, Mich. – The National UAW-Ford Council convened today and voted to send the proposed Tentative Agreement with Ford Motor Company for a ratification vote of UAW members. In doing so, the UAW released details of the tentative agreement as approved by the UAW-Ford National Negotiators and the Council. The National UAW-Ford Council consists of Ford local leaders nationwide. UAW reached tentative agreement with General Dynamics

DETROIT – UAW members at General Dynamics Corporation have announced that they have reached tentative agreement today. “The bargaining committees at General Dynamics have worked hard to reach a fair agreement for our members that protects job security, wages and benefits,” said UAW Secretary-Treasurer Ray Curry, director of the UAW General Dynamics Department. The UAW National Negotiators, elected by their local unions, achieved major wins for UAW-GM members in the Proposed Tentative Agreement. Statement from the UAW on status of Daimler Truck Negotiations

“Some progress was made in the Daimler Truck negotiations, but fell way short of reaching a tentative agreement to present to our members. The parties agreed to extend the Collective Bargaining Agreement on a day by day basis and schedule additional Bargaining Sessions”. Terry Dittes UAW Vice President and Director of the Heavy Truck Department said “We will continue to negotiate with the employer and use whatever means necessary until we achieve terms of a contract that we can be proud of to bring to our membership to ratify”.

UAW Members Ratify Caterpillar Central Agreement

UAW members at Caterpillar voted on Sunday, March 26th, to ratify their tentative Central Agreement. All local agreements have been ratified except UAW Local 974 Peoria. UAW Local 974 has rescheduled their supplemental local agreement vote for April 1, 2017. UAW members should check for the location and time with their local union. The six-year agreements cover over 5,000 members in Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Local 6000 reaches tentative agreement with State of Michigan

*****BARGAINING UPDATE****** UAW Local 6000’s bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with the state of Michigan in contract negotiations regarding wages and benefits for the two-year period beginning Oct. 1, 2017. The tentative agreement for the UAW members working for the state of Michigan includes wage increases in both years of the contract. In addition, there is no increase in costs or loss of any benefits in their insurance. Union OKs Kohler contract, ending strike

More than 2,000 Kohler Co. union employees are heading back to work after voting Wednesday night to accept a new four-year labor contract, bringing an end to a 4 ½-week-old strike at Sheboygan County’s largest employer. Kohler, union reach tentative deal on new contract

Negotiators for Kohler Co. and the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract, the local union president said Tuesday night. Detroit, Mich.  — Today the UAW concluded a week-long ratification process concerning a tentative agreement negotiated between the UAW and General Motors LLC.  A majority of UAW members at General Motors have voted in favor of the tentative agreement, as follows: Total National Agreement bargaining unit results Production            58.3% Yes     41.7% No Skilled Trades       40.5% Yes     59.5% No Overall 55.43% voted for the agreement; 44.57% voted against the agreement.
