Secretary-Treasurer institutes internal audit, stringent reforms DETROIT – UAW Secretary-Treasurer Ray Curry announced a series of audits and stringent changes to the UAW’s financial procedures and processes on Monday. UAW General Dynamics Workers Ratify Contract

UAW members at General Dynamics Land Systems Corporation ratified a new four-year agreement on Saturday, November 16, 2019, with 58% voting in favor of the contract. “Our membership’s approval of this agreement solidifies the quality work and pride they have in designing and building vehicles and equipment that provide daily safety for our nation’s military,” said  UAW Secretary-Treasurer Ray Curry, director of the UAW General Dynamics Department. Detroit Axle Ratifies Agreement

UAW Local 163 members at Detroit Axle ratified their new five-year agreement with 87% of the membership voting in favor of ratification on Friday evening.  This new agreement secures the assignment of the Axle to the UAW Detroit Axle Bargaining Unit if Daimler brings the work to the Detroit Campus. UAW Reached Tentative Agreement with Mack Trucks Strike Ends with Gains   The UAW Mack Truck Council announced that they have reached a tentative agreement today, suspending a nearly two-week strike. “Through great sacrifice, UAW members at Mack have achieved significant gains toward fair pay, benefits and job security protections,” said UAW Secretary-Treasurer and Director of the UAW Heavy Truck Department, Ray Curry. GM, FCA Bargaining Committees Introduced at UAW Special Bargaining Convention

On the second day of the UAW’s Special Bargaining Convention, Vice President Terry Dittes, director of the UAW General Motors Department, and Vice President Cindy Estrada, director of the UAW FCA Department, introduced members of the national bargaining committees and presented sector reports. The committee members will begin negotiations with the automakers this summer. UAW Members at Baltimore Horseshoe Casino Ratify First-Ever Contract

UAW table games, poker dealers and dual-rate dealers at the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore have ratified their first-ever contract, winning significant wage increases and greatly improving their benefits, job security and health and safety.
