Academic workers at UC have reached final agreement on new contracts which make historic gains in compensation, childcare subsidies and paid leaves, and include groundbreaking new protections against bullying and discrimination. UAW Members of Local 5810 (University of California Postdoc and Academic Researchers) Overwhelmingly Ratify Agreements

UAW Members of Local 5810 at the University of California voted to ratify their contracts by overwhelming margins. The final count was 89.4% of Postdocs and 79.5% of Academic Researchers voting yes in favor of ratification. UAW Local 5810 is the union of more than 11,000 Postdoctoral Scholars and Academic Researchers (Project Scientists, Specialists, Professional Researchers, and Coordinators of Public Programs) at all 10 campuses of the University of California and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. UAW Aramark Members Ratify Contract

Detroit  ̶  UAW Aramark members ratified the 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement this evening. With ratification of the contract, the UAW members will begin to report to work as instructed by Aramark. Aramark workers had suspended their strike pending ratification. The Aramark ratified contract includes significant gains in job security, wages, and health care benefits. “Aramark members showed tremendous strength throughout their strike. We want to thank their families and local communities for their outpouring of support,” said UAW Vice President Terry Dittes.

UAW Members at Baltimore Horseshoe Casino Ratify First-Ever Contract

UAW table games, poker dealers and dual-rate dealers at the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore have ratified their first-ever contract, winning significant wage increases and greatly improving their benefits, job security and health and safety. UAW Members Ratify Caterpillar Central Agreement

UAW members at Caterpillar voted on Sunday, March 26th, to ratify their tentative Central Agreement. All local agreements have been ratified except UAW Local 974 Peoria. UAW Local 974 has rescheduled their supplemental local agreement vote for April 1, 2017. UAW members should check for the location and time with their local union. The six-year agreements cover over 5,000 members in Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Statement from UAW Local 291 regarding contract agreement and ratification with AxleTech International

The UAW and its Local 291 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, reached an agreement with AxleTech International. The parties failed to reach an agreement by the Jan. 29 contract expiration and UAW members have been on strike. UAW Local 163 members at Detroit Diesel overwhelmingly ratify 5-year contract

DETROIT — UAW Local 163 members at Detroit Diesel overwhelmingly ratified a five-year agreement that significantly raises compensation for all workers and commits the Daimler Trucks North America subsidiary to building two displacements of a medium-duty truck engine in the near future. The agreement, ratified Tuesday, includes a $5,000 signing bonus, a $1 wage increase for all classifications, including In-Progression employees. It also includes pension increases for pension-eligible employees, as well as an increased company matching contribution for non-pension eligible employees. UAW-GM National Agreement Ratification

Detroit, Mich. — Today the UAW-GM Council and the International Union, UAW’s International Executive Board (IEB) met to discuss the ratification results for the tentative National Agreement recently negotiated with General Motors LLC.  As previously noted, while the majority of the entire UAW-GM membership voted in favor of the tentative agreement – 55.4 percent in favor versus 44.6 percent against – the skilled trades membership voted against ratification.  Following receipt of these ratification results, meetings were held with the UAW skilled trades membership at each GM worksite in order to determine the issues for their rejection of the tentative agreement. ... Detroit, Mich.  — Today the UAW concluded a week-long ratification process concerning a tentative agreement negotiated between the UAW and General Motors LLC.  A majority of UAW members at General Motors have voted in favor of the tentative agreement, as follows: Total National Agreement bargaining unit results Production            58.3% Yes     41.7% No Skilled Trades       40.5% Yes     59.5% No Overall 55.43% voted for the agreement; 44.57% voted against the agreement.
