The Fort Rouge Gateway Project, or FRoG, is a partnership of 16 entities covering private enterprise, non-profit, local government and education. Ground Effects Workers Protest Health and Safety Violations

Citing major health and safety violations and retaliation including firings of workers, dozens of protestors began a protest action at Ground Effects, an automotive supplier in Dearborn. Last week 10 OSHA complaints were filed including lack of adequate ventilation; repeated skin contact with the toxic uncured isocyanates, respiratory problems from robotic spray booths, lack of adequate hand and foot protections and problems with the alarm systems. Lawsuit filed against State’s unemployment insurance system

Users say computer system erroneously accuses them of fraud and then fines them, in one case as much as $20,000 DETROIT — A group of Michigan citizens has sued the Michigan unemployment insurance system to stop its illegal and unconstitutional practices. In a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the plaintiffs allege that the State’s practices have deprived them, and thousands of Michigan’s unemployment insurance claimants, of their fundamental rights under the Constitution and under the Social Security Act. UAW: Land opposed helping Michigan autoworkers when they needed it most
