UAW Members Build 2015 Truck of The Year

UAW Local 2250 members have something to be very proud of:  the General Motors Wentzville, Missouri plant workers build 2015 Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year.  The award was announced this week and it recognizes the best “all-new or significantly updated trucks and vans for the upcoming model year.”  It competed against nine other vehicles and was the hands down winner. UAW: Land opposed helping Michigan autoworkers when they needed it most

GM to Add Third Shift, 750 Jobs at Wentzville Assembly

WENTZVILLE, Mo. – General Motors will add a third shift at its Wentzville Assembly plant, creating an estimated 750 new jobs, to build the all-new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups and Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans. In Victory for Spring Hill Workers and Families, UAW and GM Announce Cadillac SRX As New Product for Spring Hill Manufacturing, $191 Million Investment in SGE Program

Spring Hill, Tenn. – Today, in a victory for Tennessee’s workers and families, UAW International and Local 1853 joined with executives from General Motors to announce the Cadillac SRX as one of two future mid-size vehicles set for manufacturing at the Spring Hill plant, as well as a $191 million investment at the Spring Hill Complex for a new Small Gas Engine (SGE) program.
