UAW Members at Baltimore Horseshoe Casino Ratify First-Ever Contract

UAW table games, poker dealers and dual-rate dealers at the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore have ratified their first-ever contract, winning significant wage increases and greatly improving their benefits, job security and health and safety. LAS VEGAS — The UAW’s presence in Las Vegas continues to grow as cage cashiers at The Flamingo casino voted overwhelmingly to join the union, the first time such workers will be represented by a union on The Strip. The vote, which was supervised by the National Labor Relations Board, took place Thursday. The 25 cashiers, who will become members of UAW Local 3555, handle a variety of customer transactions, from cashing chips for customers to handling large sums of cash generated from the slots and table games. Unions, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati reach tentative agreement

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Four Casino Workers Council unions representing workers at Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati have reached a tentative agreement on a first contract. The tentative agreement between the council representing the UAW, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the United Steelworkers and UNITE HERE, and casino operator JACK Entertainment LLC, includes general wage increases, retroactive pay and lump-sum payments, among other improvements. Details are being withheld until bargaining unit members of each individual union vote on the agreement, which is expected to be completed by April 23. LAS VEGAS — UAW-represented table games dealers at The LINQ casino and slot attendants at the Paris/Bally’s casinos overwhelmingly ratified first-ever contracts that raise wages, protect tips received by employees, and provide a fair and just grievance system, among other improvements at the properties on the strip. UAW President, Dennis Williams LAS VEGAS ̶ UAW-represented table games dealers at The Flamingo/Margaritaville Casino on Friday overwhelmingly ratified their first-ever contract, a groundbreaking agreement that raises the bar for all gaming workers in Las Vegas.
