Statement from UAW-FCA Vice President Cindy Estrada on FCA’s 2018 Profit-Sharing Announcement

Because of their hard work, dedication and through collective bargaining UAW FCA members will receive an average profit share of $6,000. UAW members take great pride in building quality products that our customers want to buy. We look forward to working with FCA for continued success in building great union-made vehicles here in the United States long into the future.

UAW Statement on the FCA Announcement of Additional Production in the United States

“The UAW has had an ongoing dialogue with FCA, dating back prior to the 2015 negotiations about the trucks moving back to U.S. production from Mexico and the additional jobs that come with it. The UAW is committed to working with FCA to increase domestic production that will increase employment for our members in our communities. We will be conducting further meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the details on the welcome news FCA made on January 11th.” -UAW President Dennis Williams and UAW Vice President Terry Dittes

New FCA Mopar Parts Distribution Center Opens

Today, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) opened a parts distribution center in Romulus, Michigan. The plant will produce over 45 million parts per year, and will provide parts to smaller regional distributors across the country.   The distribution center will bring over 100 jobs and a $10.4 million investment to metro-Detroit. The facility features state of the art manufacturing technology and is LEED certified.   This is the second new parts distribution center FCA has built in the United States this year.
