UAW Ford Members Ratify Contract

UAW Ford members ratified the 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement by 56.3% the UAW announced this evening. “Every Ford employee and temporary employee will be at the top-rate for full-time status at the end of this four-year agreement,” said Acting UAW President Rory Gamble, who is Director of the UAW Ford Department. “This is a life-changing contract for many and provides a template for all future Ford UAW members to a full-time, top-rate status. UAW Aramark Members Ratify Contract

Detroit  ̶  UAW Aramark members ratified the 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement this evening. With ratification of the contract, the UAW members will begin to report to work as instructed by Aramark. Aramark workers had suspended their strike pending ratification. The Aramark ratified contract includes significant gains in job security, wages, and health care benefits. “Aramark members showed tremendous strength throughout their strike. We want to thank their families and local communities for their outpouring of support,” said UAW Vice President Terry Dittes.

Community and National Support Has Fueled UAW Strike

For over one month, 48,000 UAW members have been on strike across the country in hopes of securing a fair contract with General Motors. UAW GM National Council Votes to Send Tentative Agreement to Members for Ratification UAW Members to Stay on Strike until Ratification Local General Motors UAW leaders from around the country today announced that the UAW GM National Council voted to accept the Tentative Agreement with General Motors.
