Memorial Day is dedicated to remembering U.S. military personnel who have given their lives to serve our great nation. It is a day that has powerful meaning to veterans such as myself, but I know it is significant to everyone in our UAW family. It is a day to recognize the price paid by many for us to stand here today. It is a time of somber reflection where we think about our history and imagine a better future.
On behalf of the entire UAW International Executive Board, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. In solidarity we stand, today and always.
