Is the CBA separation package open ended? Meaning available anytime during the four-year agreement?

What is the top wage?

Unlike UAW GM production employees, there is not a specific Top Rate used for UAW Ford production employees, due to many classifications that include incremental rates of pay. A base rate average for production employees that is used is currently $29.94

Where's our COLA? What happened to our "Christmas Bonus?"

We receive a $1,500.00 yearly inflation bonus.

My 8-year anniversary is 4/2/20. So I will not receive the 4% lump sum?

Correct, you will not receive the first 2019 4% lump sum bonus. You will be eligible and receive the 2021 lump sum bonus as long as you receive your final increase to top rate 52 weeks prior to the bonus payment. You cannot receive your final raise and the lump sum bonus within a 52 week period.

Why was TESPHE started for Legacy employees during last contract, and how is money being placed in that account with this contract?

This was pattern language with GM. This contribution is for eligible legacy employees only. Unfortunately, this did not include other employee groups.

Is Ford ending their 6% contribution to our TESPHE per 2019 contract?

The 6.4 percent contribution will continue for eligible employees. There is no change.

If I'm 4-30-12, when will I reach top pay and will I get both lump sums and pay raises before the next contract is done?

If you work the required 52 weeks to receive a raise on 4/30/2020, this will get you to Top Rate. You will not be eligible for the 2019 4% lump sum bonus, but you will be eligible for the 2021 4% lump sum bonus as long as you meet the requirements at that time. You will also receive the 3% raise in 2022 upon completing the required 52 weeks worked.

I have 11/28/14 seniority so my 5-year anniversary date is approaching. What wage schedule am I to follow?

You are currently at the 4<5 year mark making $22.50 per hour. On 9/14/2020, you will receive a 3% General Wage Increase to $23.18 an hour. Upon your 52 weeks worked, you will receive a raise to $25.75 per hour. Upon your next 52 weeks worked, you will receive a raise to $26.78, and then to $28.84 after another 52 weeks worked. On 9/19/2022, you will receive a 3% GWI to $29.71. After 52 weeks from your raise to $28.84, you will reach the Top Rate.

Why was the Christmas bonus eliminated?

Patterned bargaining-GM and Ford will receive the same amount of bonuses ($1,500.00)

Will red circle employees at Rawsonville stay at the same wage?

All wage rates for Rawsonville can be found on page 4 of the highlights (Page Changes Book page 132A-133A). The new pay rates now progress through 8+ years, compared to four years in the 2015 UAW-Ford CBA.

Did the 51 cent difference in skilled trades pay get addressed? At FRAP?

Skilled Trades wage parity at FRAP and Wayne ISA were on the table until the very end and we were unable to get it.-Ford CBA.

It says in the community engagement scholarship, the age goes from 24 to 26 for dependents and after age 24 they are no longer a dependent. Can you explain?

Current eligibility is: Dependent children of active UAW represented Ford employees, or of their spouse.

Eligible dependents must be:

  • Children by birth, legal adoption or legal guardianship
  • Unmarried, and a dependent child age 23 or under at the time of course enrollment
  • Living with the employee or be the legal responsibility of the employee or spouse
  • Pursuing post-secondary education (excluding graduate degree courses)
  • Attending a post-secondary educational or vocational institution that qualifies for federal student aid (Title IV) and is accredited by a regional, governmental or nationally recognized agency
  • Employee must be active on the start date of classes

Upon ratification the age would change to 26.

What will count against your weeks worked?

A week worked is foremost defined by working at least .1 (6 minutes) in a week to receive credit. Other codes, including but not limited to: Jury Duty, Christmas Holiday, Summer Shutdown, Bereavement, Temporary Layoff, Military, FMLA, Excused Absence, Family Day, Occupational Medical all count. Full weeks of indefinite layoff and Personal Medical Leave will not be credited for weeks worked and must be “made up”.

Since the all new Mustang is moving to Ohio Avon lake plant, what will be the option for workers presently there? And when is Ford closing it?

The Flat Rock Assembly Plant will continue to build the Mustang. Please see pages 7 & 9 in the highlights.

Is the new dental a trial? It said it's in select Area. What does that mean?

The nationwide dental program is not a trial and will be an additional benefit options.

Please explain what happened with progression employees?

The total cost of converting all 4-7 year in-Progression members at ratification to top pay would have cost Ford up to $1.5 Billion. When pushed on the subject, the company countered with talks about closing Buffalo Stamping, Rawsonville, Dearborn Engine Plants and moving the OHAP investment. Keeping investment and plants open while getting all current members to top pay by the end of this CBA was the goal of the negotiating team.

Will in-progression employees get a raise upon ratification of the contract or will it be on their anniversary date?

They still get their wages around their anniversary date. The weeks work starts on the effective day of the agreement going forward, but it is still based around your anniversary date. All the weeks prior to this agreement will count towards the 52 weeks worked counter. Example, if you had a February 12 anniversary date, the weeks work counter would start once the contract is ratified. So, if this person comes to work at least .1 tenth in the week, he will get credit for that week.

My seniority is 4/9/12 so will I max out immediately in my pay rate upon ratification of the contract?

You will max out to legacy wage on 4/9/2020 as long as you are working after the effective day of the agreement. Weeks worked will be used to determine the pay increase going forward after this contract. All the weeks worked in the previous contract count towards the 52 week worked counter. Anything before this contract, will automatically be counted as a week worked for that week.

I have been a Ford employee for 2 months. What will my pay be after 4 years? Will I get a raise after ratification? I currently make 17/hr.

Regular, non-temporary Manufacturing employees paid in accordance with table 1 hired prior to the effective date of the 2019 UAW-FORD Collective Bargaining Agreement who are earning $24.40 per hour or more as of September 1, 2023 will advance to the legacy classification wage rate effective September 4th, 2023. Saying all this, as long as you work each week or get credit for each week, you could be making legacy wages at the end of the contract. Legacy base wage at the end of the contract will be $31.66. This is strictly base wage, this does not include ARPS, Classification Rates, or Team Leader Pay. Here is an example: This wage progression will be on an employee without any breaks in their “weeks worked” over the term of the CBA. Wage progression for employees with breaks in their “weeks worked” will be calculated consistent with the terms of the 2019 UAW-Ford National Agreement. AS of 9/1/2019, $17.00  is what you make right now. Once the contract is ratified, you will go to $18.41 and stay there at that personalized rate until you are eligible to progress to the next higher wage rate. On 9/1/2020, you will go $18.54. On 9/1/2021, you will go to $20.09. On 9/1/2022, you will go to $23.69.  On 9/19/22 you will go to $24.40.  On 9/4/2023 you will go to legacy wage of $31.66

As a Temporary at the Cleveland plant for a year, am I getting moved up due to this new contract anytime soon?

Under the new language there is light at the end of the tunnel for temps to achieve full time. Provided temp employee has 3 years of continuous 2020 or 2 years of continuous service in 2021 and thereafter they will become full time. The continuous period means that you have not been laid off for 30 continuous days. The TPT must be a TFT.

The buy-outs for skilled trades, are 200 @ $60,000. Did we retain the 85 points towards retirement?

There is not a change to eligibility in the Pension Plan for 85 points.

I am an in progression employee. I spent 2 years as a TPT and have 174 weeks worked. I was hired in 5/7/18. Will my rate of pay include my weeks worked as a tpt?

No, it will not.

My question is that I have 3 and a half years at Ford, will I get a raise as soon as the contract is ratified or will I have to wait 52 weeks from ratification of the contract for my next raise?

Effective at the ratification of the agreement you will go to $23.00/hr. As long as you are working, you will get your raise around your anniversary date. The “weeks worked” will start after the contract is ratified. All the weeks before the contract, you will get credit for those weeks towards your 52 week raise. Simply put, as long as you are working, you will get your next raise around your anniversary date.

When they say ALL Romeo Engine Plant employees will be moved to Van Dyke Transmission Plant, does that include all skilled trades as well?

We can’t guarantee that answer at this time. If there are not enough spots then they will be placed on a preferential placement hierarchy of appendix N.

Why are the people in progression still being held under the 2015 CBA. Will I still end up doing 8 years before reaching top pay?

All employees will be eligible to be at legacy wages by the end of the 2019 CBA.

My hire date is 11-4-13. I work at FRAP. I just got to 26$/h today. When will my raises in the future be and to what pay?

On 9/14/2020, you will go to $26.78. On 11/4/2020, you will go to $28.84. On 11/4/2021, you will go to $30.73 (Legacy Wage at that time) On 9/4/2022, you will go to $31.66   This is all based on the fact that there is no breaks in your weeks worked. If there are any breaks in your weeks worked, you will have to make those weeks up.

I’ve been with Ford for 2 months. Please break down the pay each of the 4 yrs for me, beginning after ratification. I am 17/hr currently.

This wage progression will be on an employee without any breaks in their “weeks worked” over the term of the CBA. Wage progression for employees with breaks in their “weeks worked” will be calculated consistent with the terms of the 2019 UAW-Ford National Agreement. On 9/1/2019, $17.00 is what you make right now. Yes.

There is no ratification wage increase. You will go to $21.00/hour per the current agreement on the 7th then in September 2020 you will go to $21.63 and in November on your anniversary you will go to $24.72. Provided you have worked 52 ww with continuous service.

What happened to the $250 bonus in December that GM gets $500?

Patterned bargaining-GM and Ford will receive the same amount of bonuses ($1500.00). GM gets a $500.00 bonus in December and a $1000.00 inflation bonus. Ford gets a $1500.00 inflation bonus.

What does the contract do for the 2 tiers?

At the Louisville Assembly Plant in the summer of 2018, we were laid off work for 6 weeks total for retooling and summer shutdown. Does this count against my weeks worked?

No it does not. TLO codes do not count against your 52 weeks worked.

Does the shutdown at lap summer 2018 for 6 weeks make the temps time start over?

No it does not. TLO codes do not count against your 52 weeks worked.

In Appendix K, all the language for raises for TPT's in the charts has been removed. Do the TPT's not get raises in the new contract?

There will be no raises as a TPT because there is a path to full time status. You will be eligible for the raises in table 1 once you reach full time status.

What is the tesphe match from the company for in progression employees?

There is a 6.4 percent contribution, a match is not required.

What does consecutive 3 years as a temp mean? Does this only count for STS or does TPT time count to?

All time prior to the effective date counts whether you are a TPT or a STS. After the effective date, you must be TFT and work continuous 2 years and not be laid off 30 days continuous.

If a current STS with 2 years has been switched from TPT status to STS status numerous times, does that affect the 3 years of "continuous full time?

Why wasn't the CCrew shift premium flaw corrected this contract?

What is the top rate for Dearborn stamping plant? Will retires have healthcare?

Unlike UAW GM production employees, there is not a specific Top Rate used for UAW Ford production employees due to many classifications that include incremental rates of pay. Please check your local agreement.

Is it true they will do away with short work week or change it?

No, there is no change.

Who is eligible for the special retirement incentive?

I read in the TA that 0-5 year employees are offered a $7,500 buy out. Does this mean TPT's are eligible? (This pertains to Romeo Engine pg 6 of Highlights)

This is for Romeo Engine only. Temps are not eligible for packages.

In the "in-progression" pay scale, what is the “effective date”?

The effective date is always dependent on a successful ratification of the agreement to be determined.

To reduce the cost of healthcare has anyone proposed raising the deductible and adding an HSA account to tax defer capital gains for the company and adding an extra benefit to members?

We are not in favor of HSA’s and added deductibles.

Are in progression employees receiving a raise and or lump sum bonus upon ratification of agreement?

The in progression employees are receiving the signing bonus. In order to receive the 4 percent lump sum you have to be at top rate 1 year prior to the eligibility period.

Who is eligible for the special retirement incentive?

Eligibility will be determined upon ratification.

What is the new priority for out of plant postings? Does Romeo have priority over tier two at Sterling and Rawsonville?

All of these plants will be in the same step of the preferential placement hierarchy.

How much seniority must one have to transfer out of Rawsonville or Sterling?

There is no date once you have been converted from temp status. You can sign a posting and leave. In-progression can leave now.

I just hit my 5 year on September 15. If this contract passes, will I go to $26/hour immediately or have 4 more years to cap out?

You will go to $26/hour upon ratification and will top out in year 2.

Can you tell me if our annual raised will still be on or around our Ford anniversary date as long as you have 52ww by then?

Yes.

What is North America EBIT?

North America earnings before interest and taxes for Ford.

I would like to know why the pretax crossed off under the profit sharing section. Has the profit sharing formula changed?

It does not change how the formula is changed whatsoever.

Will we have same option as GM to take one week of shutdown unpaid?

The contract does not provide for that.

Did the bargaining committee attempt to get increased retirement benefits for existing workers?

Absolutely. We are disappointed in the Company because they did not agree to this.

As a TPT with a hire date of 10/27/2016, do I automatically qualify to be full time status January of 2020?

Yes.

I am hearing rumors that with this agreement the company can put cameras on our jobs. Is this true?

The new language on production standards utilization of relevant technology to support workstation optimization is another method to set up a workstation and time it. The local Union must agree to this before it can be used. That means if your local leadership decides they don’t want to use this, the company can’t use it.

Will TPTs hired on 7/8/2019 be eligible for the ratification bonus?

You must work 90 days prior to the ratification to be eligible.

Is there an opportunity for return to home plant?

No.

Did the retirees get a raise?

No we are disappointed in the Company for not agreeing to this.

Why don't we get the $70,000.00 the last contract got for a 30 year buy out?

This was patterned language with GM and Ford is unlimited for production.

I am 55 with at least 10 years of service. Would I be eligible for 60k early retirement?

How will the 200 skilled trades buy-outs be determined? Will there be a chance to see corporate wide seniority sheets?

Do you have to be enrolled in tesphe to receive the $1,000 one-time contribution? Or just in the Ford-UAW retirement plan?

Will there be a cap on profit share?

That was removed in the 2015 agreement.

Is there a product coming to OHAP?

There is new product coming. The all new super duty chassis cab and an unnamed new product in 2023.

I am a temp. Does the new CBA give us prescription drug benefits? I currently do not have that. Also, what date will be the "effective date" of the contract? I need to know that to see if I will get sign. bonus.

You do get prescription drug coverage. We do not know the effective date of the contract until it is ratified.

What is meant by parity for trades and production regarding holidays and shut down?

The skilled trades are now included in the 40 hour compensated Christmas Holiday for weekend overtime.

Where are the skilled trade workers from Romeo engine plant going?

More clarification info on the transfer/ILO hierarchy would be useful, especially given the new TFT status and the conditions that go along with that.

A full time employee can now bump a Temporary employee.
