UAW Member Advisory Committee on Ethics Is Chosen

DETROIT – UAW President Rory L. Gamble has announced 14 UAW members who were selected by blind draw from each UAW region to serve on the UAW’s newly constituted Member Advisory Committee on Ethics. The Committee includes rank-and-file members of the UAW along with UAW Ethics Officer Wilma Liebman and UAW Public Review Board Co-chairs Professor Jim Brudney and Professor Janice Bellace. Member Advisory Committee on Ethics

As part of the ethics reforms ushered in by UAW President Rory L. Gamble and the International Executive Board (IEB), the UAW has formed a new Member Advisory Committee on Ethics. This newly established committee that President Gamble announced earlier this year is part of the continuing reforms announced and implemented by the IEB. The United States Reaches a Settlement with the United Auto Workers Union to Reform the Union and End Corruption and Fraud

United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Michigan Press Release   DETROIT – United States Attorney Matthew Schneider announced that an agreement has been reached with the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) to resolve the office’s findings of fraud and corruption within the UAW. Schneider was joined in the announcement by UAW International President Rory Gamble. U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider and UAW President Rory Gamble jointly announce that they had a productive and helpful first meeting to begin negotiations to further the cause of reform in the United Auto Workers union. Wilma Liebman Hired as Chief Ethics Officer Ethics Advisory Committee Announced DETROIT – UAW President Rory L. Gamble and the International Executive Board (IEB) announced the appointment today of Wilma Liebman as the Union’s first-ever external Ethics Officer.
