My Sisters and Brothers,

My update today, once again, includes some very sad news. One of our members at FCA Warren Truck in Michigan passed away today due to the Coronavirus. On behalf of myself and the entire International Executive Board, I want to extend our sincerest sympathies to the family and friends of our dear member.

Also, today FCA officials sent home the few remaining MOPAR workers at the parts distribution center in Center Line, Michigan, after at least one employee tested positive for the virus. The center had been open with paid volunteers only as it is an essential business. They are currently deep cleaning the facility and following the proper protocols. We expect results soon on others who were tested.

I want all my brothers and sisters to know that we are working continuously with companies in all sectors and with health officials and government agencies to keep our members and communities safe.

I want to again recognize those brave Americans on the front lines of this crisis, who show up every day, putting their own lives and health at risk, to keep us all safe and the nation’s critical services running.

We must all support one another through this crisis. Please follow the stay-at-home precautions in your area and adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines on protecting yourself and others from this virus. CDC guidelines here:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV.

You can also find updates for members and submit questions that you might have about your worksite at UAW (https://uaw.org/coronavirus/). We are working diligently to provide you with the most up to date information.

In solidarity,

Rory L. Gamble
