LORAIN, Ohio – John Terry works in the auto industry.
How much does he make? Most probably won’t be able to come anywhere near correctly guessing his salary.
He makes $12 an hour after working three years at the Camaco plant in Lorain, which makes seat frames for General Motors and Ford vehicles. Terry says he is at top scale. He believes his pay is too low.
“I think $15 is a good starting point,” he said. “We do make parts that go into cars and trucks; and right now, most of us can’t afford to buy the vehicles we supply parts for.”
