Court approval process continues; UAW participates in hearings and Creditors Committee

The court approval process is continuing.  The UAW is participating in every court hearing as well as on the Creditors Committee.  The court will soon be dealing with a variety of issues involving Chrysler suppliers and dealerships.  The hearing on approval of the sale, as well as approval of the UAW retiree medical settlement, remains scheduled for May 27.  

Thus far, none of the major parties in the case has filed any objections to court approval of the UAW agreements.  The mailing to UAW retirees began on May 11, 2009, and therefore retirees who have not already received the written notice should receive it shortly.
