UAW congratulates Dave Curson on his win for the seat vacated by Thaddeus McCotter in the Mich. 11th District

The UAW is proud to congratulate one of its own, Dave Curson, on his win in the Michigan 11th U.S. House District partial term election. In a true grassroots effort involving many active and retired UAW members, Dave won this election and will succeed former Rep. Thaddeus McCotter and serve in Congress for the remainder of the unexpired term.

"Dave Curson is a dedicated union activist, Vietnam veteran, and patriot and will be a valuable asset to the United States Congress as they finish the important work of this congressional calendar," said UAW President Bob King.

"Working people all across the country will be well served to have someone with Dave's commitment to preserving a strong middle class with good paying jobs, and protecting Social Security and Medicare for our seniors as we head into the upcoming lame duck session of Congress.
